Participant Waiver & Release of Liability

I understand that participation in the Event involves open-water swimming and running on roads and trails, both of which carry inherent risks.
I accept all risks associated with:
Road and trail conditions (uneven terrain, gravel, potholes, steep inclines, traffic).
Marine conditions (jellyfish, sea urchins, coral, strong currents, sudden depth changes, other marine life).
Unpredictable weather, heat, humidity, and dehydration.
I acknowledge that despite safety measures (lifeguards, medical staff, marshals), accidents and injuries may still occur.

I confirm that I have truthfully completed the Event registration form, including fitness level, swim pace, and disclosure of medical conditions.
I declare that I am physically fit to participate and have no medical conditions that would make it unsafe, other than those I have disclosed.
I accept full responsibility for monitoring my health before and during the Event.

In the event of illness, accident, or injury, I consent to receive emergency medical treatment as deemed necessary by qualified personnel.
I understand that medical evacuation or treatment may be delayed due to the remote nature of the course.
I release the Event Organizers, volunteers, and medical providers from any liability arising from such treatment.

I am responsible for my own personal equipment, clothing, and belongings.
The Event Organizers are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

I agree to follow all Event rules, safety instructions, and directions from organizers, marshals, and lifeguards.
I understand failure to comply may result in disqualification or removal from the Event.
I agree not to participate while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that impair my ability.

I acknowledge that the Event may proceed under varying weather conditions.
The Organizers may alter, postpone, or cancel the Event due to weather, natural disaster, safety, or other circumstances beyond their control.
I understand that entry fees are non-refundable in such cases.

I understand that all entry fees are non-refundable, including if I am unable to participate due to illness, injury, travel issues, or any other personal circumstances.
I acknowledge that entries are non-transferable and may not be resold or reassigned.

I acknowledge that the Event Organizers do not provide personal accident, travel, or health insurance for participants.
I am solely responsible for obtaining my own insurance coverage.

I grant the Event Organizers and their partners the right to capture, use, and publish photographs, video, and other media of me during the Event for promotional and informational purposes, without compensation.

I release and discharge the Event Organizers (Selo Footprints Foundation, Selong Selo Resort & Residences, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and affiliates) from all liability, claims, demands, damages, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with my participation, including injury, illness, property loss, or death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Event Organizers against any claims made by third parties arising from my actions during the Event.
